Sorgentedelvino LIVE, a charming Italian Journey into natural wines

From April 27th to 29th 2013 in Bastione Borghetto (Piacenza, Italy) meet the thousand facets of italian natural wines

Sorgentedelvino LIVE is actually one of the most interesting fairs in Italy to know and taste natural wines of terroir and tradition thanks to the careful and passionate discovery work constantly made by the promoters since the first edition held in Agazzano castle in 2009. This fifth edition opens from Saturday April 27th to Moday April 29th 2013 in a wonderful and historical building in Piacenza: Bastione of Porta Borghetto, over the ancient boundary walls of the town ancient centre.

Here you can meet over 130 Italian winegrowers and a small group from France, Germany and Slovenia, people who chose a respectful work in vineyard and in cellar offering wines that preserve the taste and peculiarities of the plants, of the trend of the year and of the vine. The best expression that Italian terroirs can offer in a big “wine party” which brings together keens, operators and winegrowers. People who undertake to produce it in the best and healthiest way, according to ethical criteria and of respect for the soil fertility. Beside well-known wineries there will be really a lot to discover!

The tastings of this year will face two important themes: “The natural face of Brunello di Montalcino” old bottles of organic and biodynamic wineries show the richness of this wine, “Old vines all over Italy” a tasting of wines from old vines from Friuli to Puglia.

But it’s not all: there will be moments of widening with books and films presentations, opportunities to understand better what there is before the bottle of wine, and a space fully dedicated to children with games and laboratories at the sign of nature.

The event opening times are the following: Saturday April 27th from 14 to 19, Sunday April 28th from 10 to 19 and Monday April 29th from 12 to 18.
